About this event

Points count towards our Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series.  Points will also count towards our Spring Series.  Find more info about the series here.

Join us Saturday, May 21, for the Iraqi Children Foundation's 10th annual "IN THEIR SHOES 5K" to benefit Iraq's most vulnerable children:  orphans, street kids, child laborers, and child victims of trafficking.   Check our website www.iraqichildren.org to learn how ICF intervenes with love and hope in the lives of these children with legal protection, education, nutrition, medical care, psychosocial services, and childhood fun!

 

 

Run, walk, or cheer others on at Hains Point along the scenic Potomac River in the heart of Washington, DC, the Nation's Capital.   Can't make it to DC?  Choose the virtual run option. 

 

Runners Receive:

In person participants receive a 5K t-shirt, Finisher's Medal, water, and snack.  T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered by May 8.  We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but size and availability will be on a first-come first-served basis.

 

Virtual participants receive the finisher medal.

Race Day Registration

There will NOT be race day registration.  The National Park Service does not allow it.

 

Parking

For parking, there are several parking spaces around Hains Point.  Use the GPS address for directions to the start line (972 Ohio Dr SW, Washington, DC 20024)
