About this event

This event is an in-person race and all waves will be under a 50-person limit.  We will send more wave info out the day before the race, as needed.  There is no race day registration. T-shirts are no longer available.  We encourage participants to bring their own water.  Masks are appreciated during check-in, but are not expected during the race.

 

Points count towards our Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance & Back of the Pack Series.  Points will also count towards our Spring Series.  Find more info about the series here.

Runners Receive:

Finisher’s Medal, Technical (Drifit) Event Shirt, & A Chip Timed Event

In partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project.

Start off this great American holiday with a fast, flat 5k, 10k & 10-miler in the heart of Georgetown near the Nation’s Capital.  Both events run on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path and benefit the Wounded Warrior Project on the 4th of July weekend.

Walkers and strollers are welcome to attend this event.

Now offering a virtual run option for those who cannot make it on race day.  You will receive a medal

 

Race Start Times

10-Miler – 7:30am

10k – 7:45am

5k – 8am

 

Registration Fees

5k – $25, until June 15 ($30)

10k – $40, until June 15 ($45)

10-Miler – $50, until June 15 ($55)

T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered before June 17.  We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.

Race Day Registration

There will NOT be race day registration.  The park service does not allow it.

 

Directions to Parking

For parking, there are several parking garages and spaces along Water Street.  If you use the address for the Potomac Boat Club (3530 Water St NW, Washington, DC 20007) that will get you near the Start/Finish Line.  Once you are on Water St, look for parking.  It will be difficult to turn around if you follow the GPS all the way to the Boat Club.
